Influenced by the Beatles, Oasis and the Smiths among others, Darren started his musical journey learning guitar and keyboards at the Bee Hive Mill, Ancoats Manchester.
A loyal Manc, cover gigs followed at Academy 3, The Late Room, The
Roadhouse, Night & Day, Dry Bar, Squirrels, Bruins Glass, Barxs and Jabez Clegg.
In 2005, Darren's strong, raw vocals led to an invitation to sing with The Gorillaz at the Opera House. 'The Players' choice', Darren got to play at several Man U events and many memorable Inner Sleeves' gigs later, decided to concentrate on his songwriting.
